17 years of photography passion

Exploring life and nature through photography

How it started

After graduating college in 2008 (Go Heels!), I found myself with a lot of free time and wanted to pick up a new hobby. And so I decided to step into the world of digital photography with the purchase of an entry-level Canon dSLR. Digital allowed me to learn on the fly, and seventeen years later, one of my favorite places to be is still behind the lens!
The range and variety in my portfolio reflects the wide array of interests and hobbies I have in real life, but it should be immediately obvious that I love the outdoors! Though I've done a fair amount of weddings and other events-type photography where people are the main subject, by far my favorite type of photography is the kind without people in them: the kind that requires a lot of effort and patience, excellent timing and a good amount of luck, and often, physical stamina just to get to a location, to get that sought-after image.
